How To Get Rid Of Plantar Fasciitis

If you looking to get rid of plantar fasciitis, help is not far away.  Pain relief from plantar fasciitis can be accomplished with a few simple exercises.  Through out the day, I will use stair steps to stretch my foot muscles.  I place both feet on the steps and then I move up and down 10 times.  This both stretches and strengthens the area where plantar fasciitis pain exists.

If you work diligently, you can get rid of plantar fasciitis.  I would cut back on the activity that is causing your foot pain.  You are going to have give your aching feet some rest.

Plantar Fasciitis Treatment|Tennis Ball Stretch

My favorite plantar fasciitis treatment is to use a hard tennis ball and roll it under my foot while standing.  At first, it's painful.  As I continue the stretch, the relief from the foot pain is almost immediate.  I make sure that I roll from the inside to outside and from front to back.

Doing this exercise is similar to using the foam rollers to stretch other muscles such as your back, neck, hips, and thighs.

This is a great plantar fasccitis exercise to do before and after a long run.

If you work a job that requires a lot of walking such as a police officer, mail carrier, or delivery person, I would suggest that you carry a tennis ball with you and stretch your foot muscles several times a day.  This will give you plantar fasciitis relief all day.

This is just one of many stretches and exercises that I have learned in my 35 years of running and playing sports.

Plantar Fasciitis Treatments That Work

There are many methods of plantar fasciitis treatment.  It can be fair to say that there is no best method because everyone's case is different.  I have been a sufferer of this ailment on and off for 20 some years.  It comes with age and a lot of time on my feet.

I don't think that you arrived here to find out all the technical jargon about PF (plantar fasciitis).  You want to cure your foot pain.  It is my goal to link to various free resources on the Internet as well as point you to some books and treatment methods that are available as electronic delivery for a small fee.

If you are in severe pain, the best thing you can do right now is stop all rigorous activity until you figure out what is bothering your feet.  I know that you are an addict like myself and this is going to be hard.  Ask yourself if you want to stop running or what ever your sport is forever or do you want a temporary delay to begin the healing process.  My guess is that you will settlel for a temporary delay.
